Experience Rachel came to the University of Minnesota 8 years ago as a student-athlete for the Gopher Cross Country/Track & Field Team. After graduating in 2004 she returned to the University of Minnesota to study for her Master’s degree. During this time she interned for the CHAMPS/Life Skills program for the University of Minnesota. She graduated in May of 2008 with her Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Administration, with a major in Higher Education.
What you should know about Rachel Rachel is responsible for coordinating events and activities that fosters personal and professional development for University of Minnesota student-athletes. Her duties also include coordinating the many community outreach events the student-athletes participate in. Rachel assists Anissa Lightner in all of the day-to-day activities that help to make the student-athletes’ experience a well-rounded and meaningful one. She also assists with the freshman orientation course. Rachel is married to former Gopher runner Andrew McKessock and they live in Minneapolis. She enjoys running, reading and spending time with friends and family.
