"The Student-Athlete Welfare Staff has helped me out tremendously with mentoring on career development with focusing me on my goals and ambitions in life. They have also helped me with my resume to get a job at a corporate litigation law firm here in downtown Minneapolis."
- Kay Sylva, Women's Basketball
Young Professionals Dinner January 2009

Student-athletes and area business professionals participate in the Young Professional Dinner. This event is designed to provide an evening of networking and relationship building for both groups who participate. This event is coordinated by the CHAMPS/Life Skills Intern who also coordinates a pre-event attended only by student athletes, and addresses appropriate social issues associated with a formal business dinner.

"The Young Professional's Dinner opens up doors to meeting important contacts you will need in the future as well as helps you build relationships with people in your field of study."
- Mariana Spilca, Women's Tennis
