McNamara Student-Athlete of the Week: Justin Gominsky
Each week, the McNamara Academic Center for Student-Athletes (MAC) will recognize one University of Minnesota student-athlete for his or her academic achievements. The winner of the McNamara Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 5th is Justin Gominsky from the baseball team.
Head Coach John Anderson has been pleasantly surprised by Gominksy’s academic effort this semester.
“Justin has effectively managed his time and stayed on top of his assignments each week,” Anderson said. “He has displayed a strong work ethic and continues to be internally motivated to get his college academic career off to a good start.”
Academic Counselor Robert Simon has also been impressed by the beginning of Gominsky’s academic career at the University of Minnesota.
“In his first semester, Justin has shown the necessary diligence and effort to succeed here at the U, “Simon said. “He has continually met my academic challenges head on and taken advantage of all of the available resources. His approach should serve as a model for all student-athletes.”
Gominsky is a freshman who is from Mahtomedi, Minnesota.
