Zoe HarperEach week, the McNamara Academic Center for Student-Athletes (MAC) will recognize one University of Minnesota student-athlete for his or her academic achievements. The winner of the McNamara Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 13th is Zoe Harper from the women’s basketball team.

Women’s basketball coach Pam Borton is happy to see Zoe earn recognition for her academics.

“Zoe has grown so much during her time at Minnesota,” Borton said. “We are proud of Zoe for being a well rounded student-athlete and excelling on and off the court.”

Academic Counselor Jenn Townsend has been pleased to see Zoe find her niche in the Sport Management major.

“Zoe has really progressed as a student as she has found her areas of interest,” Townsend said. “She has done extremely well in courses in both her Sport Management major and her Youth Studies minor. I know that she will go on to make a positive impact no matter which avenue she pursues in life.”

Harper is a junior who has earned Scholar-Athlete honors for having a 3.0 GPA. She is originally from Lemming, Western Australia.
